Hollywood can save GM !!!!

Imagine this.... since GM has the new Chevy Camaro coming out soon, you would think they would have the Pontiac (Firebird - Trans Am) version waiting in the wings.

Here's the pitch... Bring back Smokey and the Bandit, but updated. Instead of trucking beer they can be delivering cheap drugs from Mexico or Canada or something. Or even better the newest and higly anticipated Apple iPod to a distribution centers from the Apple plant(product placement).
Anywho, with the right amount of teasers to build anticipation, and build a demand for a hot new car. (Much better than Transformers and the Camaro, because GM has not yet released the Camaro a YEAR and a half after the movie - hint to GM: BAD TIMING !!) You can't create demand by teasing buyers with something really hot, and not deliver. Buyers will eventually jump ship to another product (i/e Dodge Challenger).

Cast:
Bo "Bandit" Darville - Matthew McConaughey
Cletus "Snowman" Snow - Billy Bob Thornton
Runaway bride Carrie - Sandra Bullock
Sheriff Buford T. Justice - Tommy Lee Jones

Stang

My first car that I purchased on my own was a Ford Mustang GT. My second car was a Ford Probe GT.

I haven't been a Ford buyer since then, but this thing may change my mind. This might give the Camaro SS a run for it's money. (That's if Ford and GM are still around before they are released)

In the beginning...

I have been a car fanatic for most of my life. It started with a ride in my cousin's brand new Chevy Corvette Stingray when I was about 8 years old. After that I collected Hot Wheels cars and really admired beautiful and powerful cars. In 1981 PBS begain televising a great show called Motorweek. I have not missed an episode since then. In my teens, unfortuneately my first car was a 1976 Chevy Chevette. My parents provided this car for me, so I couldn't complain. I worked and saved and purchased my own car in my freshman year of college. It was a Ford Mustang LX with the 5.0 engine. It was fire red with white interior. Since then I have had a few dream cars, but since I have become a father I have been strapped with driving a SUV monstrosity. Next year I plan to purchase a "me" car. It will either be a 2 or 4 seater coupe. Preferabley only 2 seater. One passenger is enough.

This blog will document new cars to the market, as well as my rants and raves about the car market as well as gadgets and other crap.

I hope you enjoy.
